IT’S ABOUT THE ART

Whilst this is a photography website, the focus, as its name suggests, is very much upon the art itself. To that end, it largely eschews clever angles and other photographic trickery. Although captured through a variety of different lenses, the intention is, as far as possible, to let the art speak for itself. As the focus is upon the art, I have also attempted, wherever possible, to attribute the works to the individual artist(s) responsible for creating them in order to give them the credit that they deserve - it is their talent that ought to be celebrated. If anyone is able to identify the artists of the pieces that currently lack attribution, then please contact me and I will be happy to rectify the position.
As this website is based upon my own photography, it is necessarily limited to places where I have been with my camera. Likewise, certain cities, such as Oxford, that very much deserve their own page presently do not have one and instead are included on the “Other Locations” page. This is purely because I presently have an insufficient body of work from those locations to warrant giving them an individual page. The intention over time is to correct such anomalies and to expand the site further to include additional cities, both in the UK and beyond. Any suggestions of street art hotspots or the location of particular pieces will be gratefully received.
Finally, this website is in no sense intended to document exhaustively the street art in the particular cities that are featured. The pieces and artists featured are simply my personal favourites from amongst the many hundreds of photographs in my collection. As the tapestry of our painted cities is ever changing and evolving, the pieces featured will also be added to on a regular basis.
