Leeds is a city which is rich in all forms of public art and featured street art (most notably Graeme Willson’s fabulous Cornucopia) long before street art became more prevalent on the streets of our cities. More recently, the Blk-Bx Project has brought street art right into the heart of Leeds city centre by commissioning the work of street artists in an area of the main Trinity Leeds shopping centre, with a number of the resultant pieces being featured above. Athena Rising, the Nomad Clan piece which towers above Leeds railway station, is also of particular note - at over 150 feet tall, it is presently the tallest piece of street art in the UK.
